Working through my use of FlamingoHD as a new user. One fairly major problem has surged fairly quickly. I'm having trouble with project library. After creating a project and dropping one or more files into it, it will just stop accepting new files--they bounce right back. After a restart of Flamingo, the project disappears altogether. Actually, at one point I made a new empty project dropped files in, restarted, when there was no project I made a new project without putting anything into it, restarted and found the new name with old files inside (couldn't reproduce this one, though).
FYI, here's my setup. I have a few different machines setup and want to be able to share the entire Flamingo library. Given my situation, the best way to do that is to put the library on an external drive. I started the library on the local drive of a computer, and then copied it onto an external (copy/pasted the three folders: Cache, Database, & Library). It seems that I'm only having this problem on the external. The local drive works fine as the library without the project problems.
One more thing. I tried redoing the copy/paste of the library to the external thinking maybe there was some minute error the first time. Same thing the second time.
Am I missing a file that I need to copy across? Is it that simple?
Project problems
Hi Dave,
we have the next version of Flamingo in the final stages of development right now. It uses a new approach to project management in that it just has Folders and Albums, where you can create and Folder structure you like and have Albums containing content anywhere in that structure.
We won't be looking at fixing the old Project approach as it will be superceded hopefully by the end of August.
To share the Flamingo setup, take the entire FlamingoHD home area and place it on an external drive. Make sure that only one Flamingo application accesses the library at once. FlamingoHD does not support multiple concurrent user access (yet).

The FlamingoHD Home area being the same thing as the "Base Location" under preferences?
Thanks for the tip on the project approach change in the new release.
Looking forward the new release and the sometime-in-the-future multi-user feature.
Has it been determined if the 2.0 upgrade will be free for 1.5 users?
